I was going to post this on Monday, but I thought it made more sense to do it before this Sunday...
It's easy to lose perspective. This is true in many areas of our lives. For those of us who have spent many years going to church, we often forget what our church culture looks like to the unchurched. I ran across this video the other day. I found myself watching it over and over. How do you think your church is doing at helping people to find Christ who come to your gatherings? How are you doing personally? I'd love to hear from you. Don't mince words!

Really makes you think!
So, that was funny but way too true and really sad! Parts were too familiar, like the greeter leaning against the walk chatting with his freind adn not greeting...
they did an excellent job bringing to light what "church" looks like to th epeople walking through the doors. We (those of us who have been there our whole lives and know nothing else) forget what kind of impression we are making... this makes you think about it.
We have to start takign the "me" and "I" out of church...we are so concerned about what we get out of it and that isn't the reason the church is there, if we could just get that part things would change.
Java-lu-jah! I love it! I think the part that stuck out to me was the guy in the suit that turned around and looked at the their clothes and didn't say hello. Way familiar.
I agree, Sarah. Sometimes it doesn't come natural to accept people who look and dress different than us. There are a lot of "unwritten rules" (to use a Pastor Rex phrase) about church life that have NOTHING to do with scripture. Someday, just sit and start thinking about some of them. It will definitely make you see things differently. :)
